Competition Commission Gives The Green Light
McDonald’s South Africa can confirm that there is a process underway to find a suitable replacement for Mr. Ramaphosa, the current McDonald’s Developmental Licensee for South Africa. The potential purchaser, MSA Holdings, is a company based in the United Arab Emirates.

2014 McDonald’s U/14 Schools League season kicks off
Grassroots football players around South African schools are dusting off their soccer boots in preparation for the 2014 McDonald’s U/14 Schools League which started on Tuesday, 22 April 2014. Heralding its fifth successful year, McDonald’s South Africa, in partnership with the South African Schools Football Association (SASFA), are once again contributing to grassroots development of football in schools.

“Not only have we lived history here in South Africa for the past 18 years, we will continue to create it. Like drive thru, hand held breakfast, 24/7 and McCafé™. McDonald’s will continue to improve, evolve and pioneer” says Greg Solomon, McDonald’s South Africa’s Managing Director. The new restaurants are built using light gauge steel and energy efficient cladding and insulation systems, which mean the restaurants, cool down and warm up faster.
