Chicken Foldover T&CS

1. Promotion Overview

1.1. The "Chicken Foldover" Promotion (“Promotion”) is organized by McDonald’s South Africa (“McDonald’s/Promoter”).

1.2. The Promotion will run from 5 September – 4 November 2025, inclusive “Promotion Period”.

1.3. The Promotion aims to excite and reward App users with Rewards Vouchers including a Limited Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and a Greece Trip for (2 including Flights, accommodations 1 activity per day).

2. Eligibility

2.1. The Promotion is open to all South African residents aged 18 years or older who are registered McDonald’s App users.

2.2. The following are not eligible to participate: (i) a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to the Promoter, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, or (ii) a supplier of good or services in connection with the Promotion.

2.3. By participating, entrants agree to these Terms and Conditions.

3. How to Enter:

3.1. Download the McDonald’s App, register and purchase any ‘Chicken Foldover’ Meal and corresponding variants meals to stand a chance to win limited Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 or a trip to Greece for two or receive rewards.

Redeeming a ‘Chicken Foldover’ burger from our loyalty rewards using loyalty points will not qualify for an entry into this competition.

3.2. You may enter in two ways:

a) Scan your MyM Loyalty Card and purchase any Chicken Foldover Meal during the specified Promotional Period to qualify using the following channels - SOK, Drive Thru or Front Counter.

b) Redeem any Chicken Foldover Meal offer on the MyM App from the ‘Deals’ section in the app during the specified Promotional Period to qualify using the following channels - SOK, Drive Thru, Front Counter, Table Service or Curbside.

4. Rewards and Prizes – Stand a Chance to Win the following:

Limited Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7

Customers who have purchased a Chicken Foldover Meal (Spicy or Garlic) via the MyM App during the Promotional Period stand a chance to win 1 of 10 Limited Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Winners will be selected weekly by random draw. All weekly winners will be announced on our social media pages every Friday. Prizes will be sent to the winners in 30 day from the announcement post.

Should the McDonald’s team not be able to get hold of the winners within 3 days, the prize will be forfeited and transferred to the next winner.

McDonald's and the associated partners are not responsible for the maintenance, damage or loss of the Samsung device once the customer has received it.

Trip to Greece for 2

Customers who have purchased a Chicken Foldover Meal (Spicy or Garlic) via the MyM App during the Promotional Period stand a chance to win a trip to Greece for 2 valued at R200 000.

The prize is for 2 adults, including return business flights from South Africa to Greece, airport to hotel and hotel to airport transfers, a 5-night hotel stay including full board and return transfer from the hotel to the airport.

Winners will be selected at the end of the competition by random draw. The Greece trip winner will be announced on our social media pages 3 weeks after the Promotional Period. The winner has 3 days to claim the prize and 12 months to use the prize.

Should the McDonald’s team not be able to get hold of the winner within 3 days, the prize will be forfeited and transferred to the next winner.

Any other transfers to/from South Africa airports, taxes, hotel accommodation (not stated above), gratuities, spending money and anything else not expressly stated as included, is excluded from the prize.

The trip must be booked and redeemed by the 30th of September 2026. The Promoter cannot alter these packages. Any costs incurred additional to the prize package elements listed are at the expense of winner and/or their companions.

Travellers are solely responsible for obtaining at their own cost all requisite passports, Visas, vaccinations, other travel documentation and travel insurance for all applicable risks. Please check with any relevant authorities regarding your passport and visa requirements.

Limited Edition Rewards Collaboration with TLC®

Customers who have purchased a Chicken Foldover Meal via the MyM App during the Promotional Period will receive a reward from TLC®. Details of the rewards available can be found by accessing the following link www.mcdonaldssa-rewards.co.za

Details on how to claim the TLC® rewards are available on the app. It’s the responsibility of the customer to ensure they follow the TLC® rewards redemption process to claim the rewards.

Greece Trip and Samsung competition do not form part of the guaranteed rewards under TLC.

8. General Terms

8.1. The Promoter’s decision regarding all aspects of the Promotion is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

8.2. The Promoter reserves the right to modify or terminate the Promotion at any time without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

8.3. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

8.4. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for system failures, network issues, or other interruptions that may hinder participation.

In administering this Promotion, the Promoter may collect personal information from you and, unless it has first obtained your consent, the Promoter (i) will not collect more of your personal information than it needs for the purpose of administering and analysing this Promotion and carrying out publicity as stated in these Rules, (ii) will only use your personal information for that purpose which may include transferring your personal information to its associates, and (iii) will not transfer your personal information outside South Africa unless it is permitted to do so under South Africa law.

Selected partners of the Promoter (depending upon the nature of the prize and whether in addition to or in place of your providing personal data to the Promoter) may require you to provide to those partners personal data in connection with claiming/redeeming prizes and you should satisfy yourself with the privacy policies of such partners, as the Promoter does not accept any responsibility for them.

Subject to obtaining your prior approval, you agree that the Promoter and its successors, assigns may use your name, voice, and likeness and any statements made by or attributed to you relating to the Promotion in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity and through-out the universe for advertising, marketing, publicity and promotional purposes in connection with the Promotion without compensation, which potentially may include participation in a photo shoot determined at the sponsors discretion, and you release the Promoter and the Prize Sponsors from any liability arising from such use, including, without limitation, claims for invasion of privacy, infringement of your right of publicity and defamation.

9. Publicity and Personal Information

9.1. By participating, winners consent to the use of their names for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

9.2. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
