PARTICIPANTS

This Promotion is open to all customers resident in South Africa who are 18 years of age or older (or, if under 18, who have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate and be bound by these Rules) and who purchase a qualifying meal (as defined below) at a participating McDonald's restaurant during the Promotion period ("Participant"). The following persons are not eligible to participate: (i) a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to MSA DevCo (Pty) Ltd, t/a McDonald's South Africa ("the Promoter"), or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, and the immediate family members and members of the same household of any such person; or (ii) a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Promotion, and their immediate family members and members of the same household.

DURATION

The Promotion is scheduled to run from 09 June 2026 to 19 July 2026 at participating McDonald’s restaurants in South Africa, while stocks last. These dates are subject to change and may be reduced or extended by the Promoter. Details of any changes will be published on the Promoter's website at https://www.mcdonalds.co.za.

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to terminate, modify, suspend, or extend the Promotion in any way due to circumstances beyond its control, provided that any such changes will be communicated on the Promoter's website at https://www.mcdonalds.co.za as soon as reasonably practicable.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

During the Promotion period, Participants must purchase a qualifying meal (as described below) at a participating McDonald's restaurant in South Africa to be eligible to receive a promotional collectible item. One (1) collectible item will be distributed per qualifying meal purchased, while stocks last. The Promoter reserves the right to limit the number of collectible items distributed per customer per visit. No purchase other than the qualifying meal is required.

When purchasing a large Big Mac meal or a 10pc McNuggets large meal, customers will receive a FIFA Collectible Cup. When purchasing a Happy Meal, customers will receive a Squishmallow toy.

AVAILABILITY OF CUPS AND TOYS

Collectible items are available strictly while stocks last and are subject to availability at each participating restaurant. The Promoter does not guarantee that any particular collectible will be available at any specific restaurant or at any specific time.

No customer may choose or request a specific FIFA Collectible Cup or Squishmallow toy. Collectibles are randomly allocated. Restaurants have no control over which collectible is distributed.

Squishmallow toys may contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Parental supervision is recommended. The Promoter accepts no liability for any injury or harm arising from the use of Squishmallow toys contrary to this warning.

EXCLUSIONS

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Promoter, and its agents for administering the Promotion, assume no responsibility and are not liable for: (i) the accuracy or otherwise of any collectible descriptions or illustrations; (ii) the non-availability, loss, or damage of or to any collectible item or other communication; (iii) any representation, warranty, condition or guarantee in respect of a collectible item; or (iv) all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind (including without limitation indirect, consequential, or special damages), due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to a person's participation in the Promotion, or arising out of a person's participation in any Promotion-related activity, or their receipt, use or misuse of any collectible item distributed to them.

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time at its absolute discretion and without giving any reason, to vary, modify or amend these Rules, provided that any material changes will be communicated on the Promoter's website at https://www.mcdonalds.co.za. The Promoter may: (i) extend any time limit or waive any of the Rules; (ii) terminate or suspend the Promotion at any time due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's control; and (iii) substitute any collectible item with a replacement item of comparable nature and quality. The Promoter's decision in the exercise or interpretation of any of its rights or discretions in connection with these Rules shall be final and binding.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

In administering this Promotion, the Promoter may collect personal information from Participants in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA") and, unless it has first obtained your consent, the Promoter: (i) will not collect more of your personal information than it needs for the purpose of administering and analysing this Promotion; (ii) will only use your personal information for that purpose, which may include transferring your personal information to its associates; (iii) will not transfer your personal information outside South Africa unless it is permitted to do so under POPIA and other applicable South African law; and (iv) will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes of the Promotion or as required by applicable law, after which it will be securely deleted or de-identified.

Subject to obtaining your prior approval, you agree that the Promoter and its successors or assigns may use your name, voice, likeness and any statements made by or attributed to you relating to the Promotion in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, for advertising, marketing, publicity and promotional purposes in connection with the Promotion without compensation, and you release the Promoter from any liability arising from such use, including without limitation claims for invasion of privacy, infringement of your right of publicity and defamation.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By participating in the Promotion, and without limiting the exclusions set out above, Participants release and agree to hold, to the maximum extent permitted under law, the Promoter and its agents for administering the Promotion harmless from and against any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to their participation in the Promotion, or arising out of their participation in any Promotion-related activity, or their receipt, use or misuse of any collectible item distributed to them.

Nothing in these Rules is intended to limit or exclude any rights that you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or any other mandatory statutory provisions. The Promoter shall not be obliged to enter into any correspondence or discussion with any Participant regarding the Promotion, these Rules, or any collectible item, save as may be required by applicable law.

GENERAL TERMS

No participation in this Promotion is valid in combination with any other offer or promotion, unless otherwise expressly stated.

Collectible items are intended for personal use only and may not be resold or exploited for any commercial purpose.

By participating in the Promotion, Participants agree to abide by and be bound by these Rules and the decisions of the Promoter.

The Promoter's decision in the interpretation of these Rules or the exercise of any rights or discretions shall, subject to applicable law, be final and binding.

Without limiting the exclusions and limitations of liability set out above, the Promoter is not responsible for: (i) any errors, omissions or interruptions in the availability of the Promotion; or (ii) any unavailability of stock of collectibles at participating restaurants.

These Rules shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of South Africa. The rights conferred by these Rules are for the benefit of the Promoter and its agents for administering the Promotion, each of whom shall have the right to assert and enforce those provisions relevant to itself directly against Participants.
