McDonald's App Competition

McDonald's is allowing its App users to win 1 of 10 VIP tickets to the ODI Series South Africa vs Pakistan match at DP World Wanderers Stadium on Sunday, 22nd December 2024.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS ("RULES")

PROMOTER

The McDonald's promotion, (the "Promotion") will be conducted on the McDonald's App, managed by MSA Devco (Pty) Ltd (the "Promoter" or "McDonald's").

1. PARTICIPANTS

You must be a South African resident and be a registered user of the McDonald's App to participate in the Promotion. You must be 18 years or older or your legal guardian or your parent must give their consent for you to participate in the Promotion ("Participant").
The following are not eligible to participate in the Promotion:
- A director, member, partner, employee, agent of, or consultant to MSA Devco (Pty) Ltd.
- A supplier of goods or services in connection with the Promotion.
The exclusion includes spouses, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the persons referred to above.
A government-issued ID number is required for verification upon arrival at the game.

2. DETAILS OF THE PRIZE

The prize is 1 of 10 VIP tickets, a maximum of 2x tickets per winner, to the ODI Series South Africa vs Pakistan match at DP World Wanderers Stadium on Sunday, 22nd December 2024. The VIP experience entails (e.g., lounge access, complimentary food/drinks, or meet-and-greet opportunities, if applicable). The prize does not include any accommodation and transport to or from the stadium.

3. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD

The Promotion commences on 4th December 2024 and ends on 15th December 2024 (the "Promotional Period"). These dates are subject to change and may be reduced or extended by the Promoter and the deadline for the prize award may consequentially be changed. Participants will be notified via the McDonald’s App and/or email in case of date changes.

4. HOW TO ENTER

During the Promotional Period, Participants who log into the app and make a purchase of any 2 McFeast® combo meals for R199,90 (chicken or beef) at a participating McDonald’s restaurant will automatically be entered into the Promotion. Participants will be drawn in a random selection process by 17th December 2024 and will be contacted via email or telephone to verify their information and eligibility.

Purchases can be cumulative during the promotional period.
Purchases made via 3rd party delivery platforms or online services do not qualify.
Only in-store purchases qualify for this competition.

5. RESPONSIBILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, subcontractors, or any third parties shall not be liable for:

(i) the accuracy or otherwise of the prize description or illustration,
(ii) the non-availability, loss, interception or interference with, late receipt or damage of or to any prize, prize notification or other communication,
(iii) any representation, condition or guarantee in respect of a prize,
(iv) any fees, charges or other costs which Participants may be required to pay at any time in connection with the prize, or
(v) all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to a person's participation in the Promotion, or arising out of a person's participation in any Promotion-related activity, or their receipt, use or misuse of the prize.

For any prize which must be claimed by the winner's parent/legal guardian, the Promoter will not be obliged to award it to anyone other than that parent/legal guardian, if the winner is less than the age of majority. The Promoter may also withhold the prize should the Promoter determine in its sole discretion that a dispute may have arisen as between the winner and the parent/legal guardian in relation to the prize. The Promoter is not liable or responsible for verifying the identity of the parent or legal guardian.

Winners must respond within 24 hours to confirm their eligibility; otherwise, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

6. THE PROMOTER'S RIGHT

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter reserves the right and at any time at its absolute discretion and without giving any reason or notice, to vary, modify, or amend the terms of these Rules in such manner as the Promoter thinks fit. Any changes will be communicated on the McDonald’s App and all participants in the Promotion shall be deemed to have accepted such amended or modified terms by their ongoing participation in the Promotion.

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter may:

(i) extend any time limit or waive any of these Rules where a person might otherwise have been disqualified (without obliging the Promoter to relax these Rules on any further occasion for that entrant or at all for any other person),
(ii) terminate or suspend the Promotion at any time due to supervening circumstances beyond the Promoter's control, or
(iii) substitute the prize with an appropriate replacement of equal or greater value in the place of the prize.

The Promoter's decision in the exercise or interpretation of any of its rights or discretions in connection with these Rules shall be final and binding. By participating in the Promotion, Participants agree to abide by and be bound by these Rules and the decisions made by the Promoter. These Rules shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of South Africa.

7. PRIVACY

Any participants' data will be used, stored, and protected, especially given GDPR and POPIA compliance requirements in South Africa.

Any disputes arising from this Promotion will be settled in accordance with South African law.
